Riders Accreditation
The riders accreditation and the number pick-up will be at Lässerhof (500m to the village square Stattegg) on Saturday between 12:00 and 17:00!
ANNOUNCEMENT
The participation at the UCI Mountainbike Marathon World Championships, August 23th 2009, is allowed for Mountainbike riders with UCI license, who are nominated by the national team of their home country.
There are 15 starting positions for female and 15 for male per team. The current holding nation of the championships Austria gets 25 positions each. For any further questions concerning qualification modes, please contact your national cycling union.
Following races will be offered besides the World Championships:
UEC MOUNTAINBIKE MARATHON MASTERS EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Same course as for the World Championships
- All European riders aged 30 or elder are allowed to race.
- Riders without any license have to close a day license (Austrians). Others close an assurance for foreign nationals.
- Both, day licenses and assurances are available at the race office (€ 6.-).
- Classification by age in 7 male groups and 3 female groups.
Open Class
- Same course as for the World Championships.
- All European riders aged below 30 and Non-Europeans no matter what age are allowed to race.
- Riders without any license have to contract a day license (Austrians). Others close an assurance for foreign nationals.
- Both, day licenses and assurances are available at the race office (€ 6.-).
- Classification by age in 1 male and 1 female group.
TREK Mountainbike Challenge
- Austria's biggest race series offers 2 courses: SMALL 35km/1.309hm and CLASSIC 66km/2.651hm
- Participation is allowed for everybody.
JUNIOR MOUNTAINBIKE CHALLENGE the day before the World Championships, August 22nd 2009
- 150 Bike-Kids divided in classes by age are racing the final World Championship's downhill.

Former Championships
The first official Mountainbike Marathon World Championships recognized by the International Cycling Union (UCI) dates back the year 2003. Five Marathon World Championships were staged so far. The lengths of the course counts 80km, 4h riding time minimum. The first World Championships were staged in Lugano (Switzerland). Following scenes were Bad Goisern (Austria, 2004), Lillehammer (Norway, 2005), Oisans (France, 2005), Verviers (Belgium, 2007) and Niederhof/Villabassa (Italy, 2008).
